We live in times when high quality theological education is hard to come by and more important than ever. God’s people face challenges of all kinds, and there are also many open doors for ministry. In times such as these, I am grateful for the faithful ministry, learned scholarship, and creative teaching of the faculty, staff, and leadership of CCST Vancouver.
And as you enter your second decade of institutional life together, may the Lord continue to equip you for service in his Kingdom, and may He provide all that you need as you seek to serve God’s people here in British Columbia and beyond.

We give thanks to God for His gracious leading over the past decade, and for the faithful witness of CCST Vancouver in equipping pastors and leaders for Christ’s church in Canada and beyond.
At Carey Theological College, we celebrate this milestone with deep gratitude for the shared partnership in theological education, particularly through the leadership of Dr. Joyce Chan, who served faithfully for many years at Carey before becoming Principal of CCST Vancouver. Praying and Walking Together
Dear Brothers and Sisters:
On behalf of the Canadian Chinese School of Theology Toronto (CCST Toronto), I would like to congratulate CCST Vancouver on its 10th anniversary! We are encouraged and rejoice with you as we witness the Lord's faithfulness in calling you to serve diligently for the past ten years.
This year also marks the 20th anniversary of CCST Toronto. As we look back on the path of theological education that we have travelled together, we marvel at the Lord's amazing grace and providence. Not only do we see the fruits of the efforts of our forefathers, but also find that the Lord continues to call His servants to serve together, so that we can walk side by side in response to new challenges in this day and age.
May the Lord continue to use us to serve with one heart, striving in His will towards the future of Chinese theological education in Canada.

General Secretary of CCCOWE Canada
Heartfelt congratulations on the 10th anniversary of the Canadian Chinese School of Theology Vancouver!
Ten years ago, I had the honor, as the voluntary Executive Director of the Association of Canadian Chinese Theological Education (ACCTE), to witness the founding of the Canadian Chinese School of Theology Vancouver. Today, seeing how God has used this school to raise faithful servants for Chinese churches along the West Coast fills my heart with deep gratitude.
Theological education is both the passing on of mission and the shaping of lives. Over the past decade, the Canadian Chinese School of Theology Vancouver has remained steadfast in the Word, united with the churches, and devoted to nurturing disciples, making invaluable contributions to God’s kingdom.
May the Lord continue to guide the Canadian Chinese School of Theology Vancouver into the next decade, blessing more churches and believers through this ministry!

Congratulations on the 10th Anniversary of the Canadian Chinese School of Theology Vancouver
In 2013, The Association of Canadian Chinese Theological Education (ACCTE) began preparing to establish the third Canadian Chinese School of Theology, located in Vancouver. I had the honor of personally participating in this two-year preparation process and witnessing God’s marvelous guidance. In a remarkably short time, the Canadian Chinese School of Theology Vancouver not only assembled a dedicated team of staff and faculty, but also received degree-granting authority from the province of British Columbia, recognition as a charitable organization in Canada, and was granted status as a designated learning institution eligible to admit international students—achievements that seemed beyond human hands, yet were accomplished through God’s wonderful guidance.
Building a school may take years; nurturing faithful servants of God takes generations. The purpose of theological education is not merely to establish a fine institution, but to raise a new generation of faithful workers for God’s kingdom. Over the past ten years, the Canadian Chinese School of Theology Vancouver has laid a firm foundation for cultivating such servants. May the school continue to grow strong under God’s grace in the years ahead, becoming a vital center for equipping servants whom the Lord can use mightily!

Walking with the Lord, Running with Strength
September 10, 2015 marked the opening of the Canadian Chinese School of Theology Vancouver. In the blink of an eye, ten years have passed. As we behold the seminary’s growth and development today, how can we not lift our hearts in thanksgiving? Looking back to the early days, the vision of establishing a Chinese seminary in Vancouver was no easy task. Resources were scarce and the beginnings were marked with challenges. Yet by the mighty hand of God, and through the faithful labor of the Canadian Chinese Theological Education Association, who carried on a divine mission to meet the pastoral needs of Chinese churches in Canada, together with the pioneering work of CCST Toronto, and most importantly, the recognition and support of senior pastors and leaders in Vancouver who embraced this vision, CCST Vancouver was given birth.
Now, after ten years of diligent sowing and cultivation, as we look back, we can clearly see: God Himself is the Founder, the Leader, and the Provider.
- God’s Grace Remembered: God led the way, bringing something out of nothing. To witness His mighty work in the founding of CCST Vancouver is a living testimony of His grace and a tremendous blessing to the Chinese churches in Canada.
- God’s Purpose Affirmed: What belongs to God, He will surely provide. Over the years, He has faithfully raised up a united and capable team according to the needs, board members, presidents, full-time professors, lecturers, and administrative staff. Each has poured in their heart and effort, driving forward the growth of the seminary.
- God Leads the Way Forward: Looking ahead, the road is still long. Ten years mark but the beginning for a seminary still young in its journey. Greater growth and development lie ahead, requiring much labor and perseverance. Yet we place our trust in the God who is both the Alpha and the Omega. On the path of future growth, His guidance, His care, and His abiding presence will surely be with us. We hold fast to His promise: “The Lord Himself goes before you and will be with you” (Deuteronomy 31:8).
